Therapeutic Community Support Services

Therapeutic Community Support Services (TCSS) is mental health support that comes to you: at home, at work, or wherever the hard parts of the day happen. A support worker helps you practice coping skills in the places you need them, not in an office.

TCSS is for adults with serious mental illness who need more than outpatient therapy alone.

The work is practical: handling stress at work, talking with family, keeping a routine, getting through social situations, or dealing with triggers before they turn into a crisis.

Because the support worker sees the problem where it happens, you can work on it in the moment instead of describing it later.

You set the goals together, whether that is keeping a job, repairing a relationship or feeling steadier day to day. Your support worker coordinates with your therapist, case manager and psychiatrist.

TCSS is available throughout our seven-county area; staff travel to you.

What to Expect

Sessions are usually once or twice a week, at home or in the community. Expect coaching, role-playing and working through real situations as they come up.

You and your treatment team review progress regularly and adjust the plan as skills stick.
