Prescribers’ Clinic
The Prescribers’ Clinic is RiverValley’s outpatient psychiatric clinic for adults: evaluation, medication management and consultation from psychiatrists and psychiatric nurse practitioners.

Providers prescribe for depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, ADHD, PTSD, psychotic disorders and other conditions.
The first visit is a full evaluation: symptoms, medical history, past treatment and what you want to get out of it. Diagnosis and recommendations follow from that.
Finding the right medication and dose can take a few tries. Your provider adjusts based on how you respond and what side effects show up.
Your provider explains the diagnosis and the options, answers questions and leaves the decision with you. The clinic works closely with RiverValley therapists when you’re seeing both.
And we work hard to get you seen quickly. Long waits help no one.
Call (270) 689-6879 or request an appointment online. Walk-ins are welcome at our outpatient locations.

What to Expect
The first appointment takes 45 to 60 minutes. Bring your current medications with dosages, any previous psychiatric records and recent lab results.
