Support from Someone Who Understands
Some things are easier to hear from someone who has been there. Peer Support Services pairs you with a certified specialist who has been through their own mental health recovery.

Peer Support Specialists are trained and certified. They don’t diagnose or treat; what they offer is the experience of having done this before and the willingness to talk about it.
On a bad day, it helps to be sitting across from someone who had bad days and came through them.
A peer specialist might share what worked for them, help you deal with the mental health system, work on goals with you, or just listen.
Peer support runs alongside your other treatment, and your specialist is part of the same care team as your therapist and case manager. Meetings can be at the clinic, in the community or sometimes at home.
Call (270) 689-6879 or request an appointment online. Walk-ins are welcome at our outpatient locations.

What to Expect
You start by getting to know each other. Meetings are usually weekly or every other week, at the office or somewhere in the community.
It isn’t therapy, and it isn’t meant to be. It changes as your recovery does.
