Crisis Support That Comes to You
A crisis happens where you are: at home, at school, in a parking lot. The Mobile Crisis Team comes there, anywhere in our seven counties.

The Mobile Crisis Team (MCT) is a group of behavioral health professionals who respond to mental health and substance use crises in the community, 24 hours a day.
To request the team, call the crisis line at 1-800-433-7291. Anyone can call: the person in crisis, a family member, a caregiver, police, a school, a hospital. The crisis line assesses the situation and sends the team when an in-person response is the right one.
On site, the team assesses the person and the situation, de-escalates, counsels and works out a safety plan. The goal is the least restrictive option that keeps everyone safe.
That might end with a safety plan and a referral to outpatient services, a move to The Phoenix Center for residential stabilization, or, when needed, transport to a higher level of care. The team follows up afterward.
Our Mobile Crisis Team serves all seven counties in our service area: Daviess, Hancock, Henderson, McLean, Ohio, Union, and Webster.
Call (270) 689-6879 or request an appointment online to start treatment. Walk-ins are welcome at our outpatient locations.

What to Expect
When you call (800) 433-7291, a counselor assesses the situation by phone and, if an in-person response is right, sends the team to you. You don’t need insurance or any previous contact with RiverValley.
