ROSES For Moms

Outpatient recovery for mothers and their families

Working on recovery while raising children is harder than doing either alone. ROSES For Moms is built for that, and it is open regardless of insurance, employment or ability to pay.

It is an outpatient program for pregnant and parenting women in recovery, based at RVBH@The Crowne in downtown Owensboro, that pairs clinical treatment with the practical help mothers need to stay in recovery.

The program is funded by a five-year, $2.6 million SAMHSA grant. The team includes therapists, peer support specialists, nurse practitioners and case managers.

Services: screening and assessment, treatment planning, individual and group therapy, medication evaluation and management, peer support from women who have been through recovery, prevention education and parenting education. Case managers and family navigators help with housing, career development, transportation and other community resources.

If you are working toward getting your children back, the team coordinates with the Department for Community Based Services (DCBS), family courts and other agencies.

If you need residential care, the team can move you to The Amethyst Center, where mothers keep their infants with them during treatment.

What to Expect

It starts with a screening and assessment. From there your care team builds a treatment plan that might combine individual therapy, group sessions, peer support and case management.

The program is at RVBH@The Crowne, 107 E 2nd Street, Owensboro. Sessions are scheduled around childcare and work, and the team can help with childcare and transportation. Call (270) 689-6879 to get started.
