Our Commitment The standard we hold our website to.

RiverValley Behavioral Health strives to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines help make web content usable for people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, language, learning and neurological disabilities.

We are committed to meeting or exceeding these standards across our website, and we continue to invest in regular accessibility reviews, testing and improvements.

Accessibility Features What we build into every page.
  • Semantic structure and a clear heading order for screen readers and other assistive technology.
  • Text descriptions for meaningful images.
  • Enough color contrast between text and backgrounds to keep content readable.
  • Menus, forms and controls that work with a keyboard alone.
  • Link text that says where each link goes.
  • Consistent, predictable navigation on every page.
  • Form fields with labels, clear instructions and helpful error messages.
  • A responsive design that adapts to screen sizes, devices and zoom levels.
Ongoing Efforts Accessibility is a commitment, not a one-time project.

We review our website with a mix of automated testing tools and manual checks to find and fix barriers. When we add new content or features, we evaluate them against current WCAG standards.

Our team receives training on accessible content and digital best practices, so accessibility stays part of how we design, build and publish.

Third-Party Content Videos, maps and other services we embed.

Our website includes content and features from other companies, such as embedded videos, maps and forms. We choose accessible tools where we can and hold our partners to high standards, but some third-party content may not fully meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA. We work with our vendors to close those gaps as we find them.

Conformance Status Where our website stands today.

WCAG defines three levels of conformance: A, AA and AAA. Our website strives to conform to WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Conformance is an ongoing process, and we are committed to continual improvement.
